How to get here, how to get into your suite, and our favourite places nearby.
Famara is about 30 minutes by car from the airport. We recommend hiring a car: it's the easiest way to get around the island.
The last part of the way to the villa is a short sandy track. Take it slowly. When you arrive, you can park right in front.
Check-in from 2 pm and check-out by 10 am. Each suite has a key box next to the door, and we'll email you the code a few days before you arrive.
You'll find a card with the wifi password and our phone number for anything you need. We have washing machines, so there's no need to look for a laundrette.
Famara is nature, silence and open skies. So that everyone can enjoy it, we only ask a few things.
Pipa Suites is made for resting, so parties are not allowed.
Nights in the desert are pure peace. Help us keep them that way, so every guest can enjoy the calm.
No smoking inside the suites. You can smoke on the terrace, but please always pick up your cigarette ends.
No wet wipes or anything else: they block the pipes. There's a bin in the bathroom.
There's a bin outside the property. Take your rubbish there whenever you need to.
Lights and devices off when you go out. The villa runs on solar power and every little bit counts.

The village has good fish, Canarian cooking and places for a drink by the sea. These are some of our favourites.
Canarian cooking with local produce and views of the beach.
Canarian cooking with a modern touch and sea views. Order the rice.
Grilled fish, rice dishes and papas arrugadas with mojo sauce.
Right on the beach. Squid and fish with your feet almost in the sand.
Toasts, sandwiches and vegan options. The surfers' hangout.
Home-style Canarian food, really tasty and great value.
For a slow breakfast before heading to the beach.
Caleta de Famara has several small supermarkets for bread, fruit and everyday things.
About 25 minutes by car you'll find Lidl, HiperDino and Mercadona, all close to each other.
The cliffs, the desert and the sea, just a few steps away. Some routes for every level:
Kilometres of sand between the village and the cliffs. Beautiful at sunset.
From Yé, past vineyards and prickly pears, up to the rim of the crater.
Zigzags down the cliff to Playa del Risco, facing La Graciosa. The way back is all uphill.
Climbs the cliff to the El Bosquecillo viewpoint, overlooking the whole bay.
Bring water, a cap and hiking shoes. The wind on the cliffs can be strong: keep away from the edge.
The villa is surrounded by nature, and you notice it in the best things: the silence, the clear sky and the animals that live around it.
If you like birdwatching, you're in a good spot. Around here it's easy to see partridges running between the stones, ravens, sparrows, kestrels and shrikes. And with a bit of luck, the houbara bustard, a desert bird that lives in only a few places. If you have binoculars, bring them.
A small note: we clean the suites thoroughly and treat them against insects regularly, but we're in the middle of nature and now and then a lizard or a little bug may sneak in through an open door. The lizards here are completely harmless. Closing the doors in the evening helps a lot.

Famara is one of the best places in Europe for surfing and kitesurfing. In the village you'll find schools and equipment hire for every level, from your first lesson to the big waves.
A tip: there are strong currents at Famara beach. If you're not experienced, swim close to the shore and never alone.
We recommend Cicar, a Canarian company with a desk at the airport. Book ahead, especially in high season.
In the north of Lanzarote, between the Soo desert and Famara beach.
